Visions Of Visionaries by MADE.

“Hello I’m Craig. I’m 20 years old goin to school from Long island NY. I stumbled upon maestro knows right when you dropped the first episode. Right away I was drawn. I was drawn because I was able to experience a culture different from mine. I am a black kid from the suburbs but have an appreciation for other cultures around. I didn’t realize how inspirational your show was to me until the Hawaii episode. I had watched every video everytime you dropped one. Right when I was discovering you I was goin through a hard time in my life. I tried committing suicide that same week the first episode dropped. What I realized Levi is that your show, your personality, your words saved me! I may not necessarily want to do the same thing as you but I have dreams. You made me realize that dreams are not too far from reality. I have told all my friends about maestroknows. You are true inspiration to me Levi. I have a different attitude on life. And since you helped me I will pay it forward to the rest of the world and do my best to inspire. Thank you Levi. Thank you so very much. I hope you accomplish everything in your life. God has big plans for you and I’m excited to see what happens. God bless and I can’t type it enough THANK YOU”
*I was skateboarding at the park yesterday when I got this email, soaked in sweat I grabbed my phone just to check for any missed calls and instead I randomly opened this email. I’ve said before that I do what I love & make things according to my standards because I’m only trying to make myself happy. I think it’s very ironic that by doing that, my work has been able to make a difference to a few people out there in the world. Even more importantly this message that Craig sent me created a huge impact in my life by making me realize all over again that I am just a vessel and what I create is the blood, without it I am essentially not functioning. I am here to carry through the work that was meant for me and I’m really happy that it’s getting done.*

“My career path use to seem like an unbeatable burden….ended up beating it when I decided not to carry it”. @LeviMaestro

“My goal is to teach myself the lesson before I have to learn it from someone else, this way I don’t make mistakes”. @LeviMaestro
This is a HUGE deal for me. I have been trying to make my way into the pages of this magazine for years, literally. Finally the fine folks over at Complex have made the decision that my work efforts are deserving of such an honor and I couldn’t be more thankful for this long awaited opportunity. Check out this dope piece that they put together about my life & career thus far! Aug/Sept ‘10 issue on news stands now!!! Click inside for the video! (more…)

In celebration of the 1 year anniversary of my show Maestro Knows a few months ago, I created a skateboard as part of a collaborative project with my friends at IN4MATION in Hawaii. I am a skateboarder before everything so this project relates to my heart very matter of factly. All the details, inspiration and other randomness coming soon via video. Only 50 available. Dropping this Friday, July 2nd from IN4MATION. Thanks for all your love & support.

I am very proud to announce today, my very first creation of design that will be made available to the public for purchase . After several months of working with Los Angeles based jeweler Shayan Afshar on what began as a personal project of dedication, I have finally come up with something that I feel is undeniable. I began this design with the intention to communicate that when I give my heart & my word to something, then my energy, my love, my mind, & of course my time become infinitely dedicated. Juxtaposing the materials of a translucent plastic band and a casing with a custom made bezel completely emerged in rose gold resulted with very original & classic qualities. This piece is set to be a reminder that when you give your all to something, anything becomes achievable. During the time I was recently in Paris my friend Mathieu from NBP came up with these nice photographs for me. (more…)
When one human being reaches out to another to let them know the way they feel, not only have they made an honest offering to be appreciated but they have taken advantage of one of the greatest things life has to offer….touching another human being. (more…)
I recently shot this piece on a 24hour stint in NYC. Partly for the interest of the upcoming World Basketball Festival and partly for my constant interest in creating some with more than entertainment value. It’s All For The Love.
In the spirit of all things great, I just finished creating a video reminiscing over the memories recently created on Tour De Maestro. I haven’t played soccer since I was 11 years old and I decided to spend this summer following it. I can honestly say that I never thought once I became a skateboarder that I would ever have anything to do with soccer again. Now I look at life and see all the opportunity that has been created simply because of my talent and interest. Here’s to motivation and a video camera!

The following pictures were taken last month in Tokyo by my friend Daichi Ito. I really like the feel of the pictures, even though they were taken last month….it almost already feels like years ago. This was my first time I truly enjoyed Japan, it was a whole different story when Daichi was able to speak for us and take us to super cool spots like Ninja in Akasaka, Tokyu Hands, Curry Up, so on & so forth. Also meeting XBS from Nitraid & Hiroshi from Rhythm, it was an amazing trip and an entirely different introduction to the Japanese culture & hospitality. Thanks guys. Read More
